Missions and Outreach
Our Mission
Faith Lutheran Brethren Church is a local expression of the Body of Christ committed to fulfilling Christ's Great Commission to make disciples. As a Lutheran Brethren congregation, our call is to present Jesus Christ to the Westchester County community and to provide an environment in which the Holy Spirit works his regenerating and renewing power in the believer. Our mission is to see each believer grow into their full stature in Christ and to equip each believer for the work of service to which the Holy Spirit has called and empowered them.
Our mission includes joining with other congregations of the Lutheran Brethren Church exercising gifts of grace locally and in Home and World Missions.
Local Outreach
We strongly believe in local community involvement and outreach. We host Vacation Bible School every summer, where children from age 4 through 6th grade can have fun and participate in activities while also learning about our Lord Jesus Christ. An evening program is available for junior and senior high students. Throughout the year, we collect various food items to be donated to the Ossining Food Pantry to support those in need.
Global Missions
As part of the Church of the Lutheran Brethren, we have provided support for sending missionaries to Taiwan and Chad. We also support the Living Water Wells project, which provides clean water wells all over the world.
Each fall we partner with Samaritan's Purse sending gift-filled Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to children in need around the world.
